Does your 2nd test build still have the "multithread routines for compositing or rasterizing pixels" from your first test build? Also is there a test for your 1st test build so we can see the difference?

Any performance difference between building Firefox by VC 8 (2005) and VC 9 (2008)?
Most people are using VC 8, but some people are migrating to VC 9, like Ayakawa san.

Hi Tete,

I have WinXP Pro SP2 and am using your tbird 3.1 build. I have two observations:
1) I am assuming that your discussion with Ivan is about not being able to do a PGO build. Is that correct (my japanese is a bit rusty)? I've noticed that your link for v3.1 does not have a -pgo at the end.
2) The icon seems a bit "bright" and I could not even figure out what it should be.

なんか，Thunderbird 3.0.5が出た後にわりと続けざまにFirefox 3.6.4が出たように感じたので，「あれ？もう3.1が出るん？」という感じですが，まあ確かに3.0.xのセキュリティFixなどとともに3.1系も着々と準備が進んでいたようですので出るのでしょう。

but 3.6.4 sse2 updated today isn't working on same system.
3.6.3 sse is working properly.

今回は，SSE2版のみなのですね。
いまだ，サブPCや親のPCなどでAthlon 64 X2のPCがあり，どうもちまたの評価だとSSE2がさほど高速ではないというのを見かけてから，そちらにはSSE版を利用していたのですが，今後はSSE2版に収束の方向でしょうか

Firefox 3.6.4 final stable release has been delayed because Firefox Build 6 RC has two crucial bugs that can be seen here https://wiki.mozilla.org/Platform/2010-06-01

As such, can you please provide a link to your build of Firefox 3.6.3 seeing that build 6 is not ready to be released to the general public.

Have you tried submitting any of these performance patches to mozilla? Might help a lot of users

I would like to know how to upgrade from the existing version to newest version? If I download the newest version files, then run the .exe, can it use all the add-ons in the existing version? Or there is another way to upgrade so that all add-ons could be transferred to the new version? Thanks.

Hey Tete I was wondering if your custom build still retains Firefox's security features specifically Google safebrowsing API?

I also don't know if this is said enough, but your custom build is awesome and I would like to thank you. Since Firefox 3.0 I had this nagging choppy scrolling problem that would render sites unusable. Your build has solved that problem completely so keep up your awesome work.

Hi user using tete009 , if you want to install Windows media player plugin for Firefox , following this steps :

Download WMP Plugin at

Install normal

After install finished , copy file np-mswmp.dll locate at : C:\PFiles\Plugins to tete009 plugin folder , restart firefox .:-D

As the title,waiting for your building...

Heya, I've been a fan of your builds. Been using it for god knows how long. Close to or around 2 years maybe. Your builds are fast and reliable for me. I'd like to thank you for your hard work building these builds over the years.

But anyway I don't know since when but recently since I've been active using Facebook, I've found your build to use a lot of memory over time. Whenever I play the games on FB, it would use up a lot of memory. Even if I close all the tabs with a only a blank tab left, the memory stays the same and won't go down.

I tried using the official build using the same profile, and it doesn't show the same behaviour. It uses smaller memory. Under 400k inside task manager and hover around 300k or so after I close all the other tabs. With your builds, it jumps to 600k. Might do a bit more testing and let you know later on.

I tried to using Firefox/3.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) (tete009 SSE2 PGO) recently. I just found that when I saw the YouTube website, firefox can't show the flash movie correctly.

I'd check my flash player version

In "about:plugins"
Shockwave Flash

Version: 10.0.45.2

application/x-shockwave-flash Adobe Flash movie swf => Yes
application/futuresplash FutureSplash movie spl => Yes

It looks like the installation is successful.

Then I checked your suggestion

But the value of "general.useragent.extra.firefox" is "Namoroka/3.6", neither "Minefield/…" nor "BonEcho/…".
I tried to change from "Namoroka/3.6" to "Firefox/3.6" and it's still not worked.

Hello tete. Do you have plan to make 64-bit builds, for both Firefox and Thunderbird? It seems that there are gains for using 64-bit builds in 64-bit OS (ref: http://www.favbrowser.com/firefox-32-bit-x86-vs-firefox-64-bit-x64/).

というわけで，早速頂戴していきます～

I set the latest build as my default browser, and in the past, the "Internet" icon in Start Menu would link to the new default browser. However, apparently the link stopped updating after Fx 3.5.5. So when I set 3.6 as my default, it still links to 3.5.5 in the start menu.

This may be related to the issue where older builds had a certain note on this site about how to set them as the default browser. I don't remember the procedure, and the note is not on this site anymore. But I believe it involved going into the unistall folder and doing something with the helper.exe file of the prior build. My *guess* is that I performed this procedure for the 3.5.5 build but not for any later builds and that's why my start menu is stuck on 3.5.5.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Just wanted to let you know that I installed the RC1 SSE2 build from your site but only 3.6b1 was actually installed? I checked Help>About and it says 3.6b1.

After running your module binder, my computer slowed down significantly. Is there any way to unbind these files?
